So... Who's Your Waifu?

Waifus.. Across all tastes, shapes and sizes, whether you're an oyajicon or you're just a simple man who likes his tsundere saaavice, every otaku must have one. The 2D love of your life, the fictional character you'd give the world for. What do you like about them? What makes them special? Talk about that and more ITT!

When I first watched Nisekoi in early 2024 I completely fell in love with Chitoge. Just checks every box for me. From her confidence and strong will, to the more vulnerable softer side that even has some experience with social isolation, to her background, her mannerism of being easily flustered, and of course the fact that she is beautiful. To me she almost feels like something that came out of my imagination rather than something a mangaka actually wrote. While there are other anime girls that I love, if I were forced to pick one to realboot and marry it would assuredly be Chitoge. I have literally ran out of fanart and even stills from the anime to download, god I wish more people would draw her.

But anyway, what say you? Who's your waifu? Do you think they're your true love or could you see it changing in time? What do you like about them? Got any good fanart for us?

I always liked Forte from Galaxy Angel. Unfortunately we live in this twisted hellworld where liking mature women nets you the least amount of fanart. She's probably the most well developed character in the show (for a gag anime, mind you). Also has big tits and shoots guns. The only thing they did wrong in the later seasons is change her design slightly so her bare chest isn't exposed.

You guys know my taste in women, so let's get to the point. What can I say about Casca that hasn't been said before? Great design, great character, and her section in Elfhelm is just so fucking good. Probably the most developed character in the series alongside Guts, and one of my favorites.

I just hope that we get more info about her in later chapters, if they ever release them... It's been 8 months since the last one. I really need a new chapter as a reward for the weeks I've been through.

After a long process of deliberation and rigorous scientific investigation, I have arrived at the conclusion that Chii from Chobits is my waifu.

She does the perfect job of combining the (clockwise from the top circle) trifecta of incredible affection and care, with the element of being a tragic robo-waifu with incredible power, while also being an absolute ditz.

She is the waifu just for me. Thank you Clamp.

Ameri from Mairimashita! Iruma-kun is basically the dictionary definition of wife material. Obviously, she's hot, has big titties and booty cheeks you could use as bango drums, but more importantly is her earnestness in everything she does, even if she would otherwise come off as cringe in her endeavors and mannerisms, the earnestness as well as competence backing them up make her someone to genuinely look up to as well as find incredibly adorable. The gap moe of an otherwise badass, competent and imposing woman and her sheer inability to hide her emotions is preem.

The thing I love most about her is how she pushes the MC she has a crush on to do and be better. She sees more in him than he does in himself and wants to draw that out and is arguably the #1 driving force for his development, and not because he wants to win her over or anything like that, but because she genuinely just makes him want to be a better, more driven person. She makes him want to find a reason for living, in a sense.

In turn, his development spurs her drive to keep bettering herself in ways she often didn't think of before, that she might never have thought of if not for him, and this dynamic leads to a slowly building but genuine connection between the two formed not by lust and childish affection but by gratitude, comradery, and understanding of one another's hardships and dreams.

A surprisingly mature romance for a shonen comedy about a kid who gets kidnapped by a demon and made into his grandson and now has to navigate daily life in the underworld and demon high school.

My greatest regret in life will always be fumbling a woman just like her (including being freakishly tall) who I had this exact dynamic with and even met in and have known since high school
