Headphone Thread
What kind of headphones do you use? Do you own multiple? Are you more of an earbuds kind of guy? What products would you recommend? Post it all ITT.
As for me, my current two pairs of headphones in use are a pair of Beyerdynamic DT-770 Pros (80 Ohms) for listening to music and a pair of HyperX Cloud IIs for gaming/VoIP calls. I had an old set of original HyperX Clouds for some years before replacing them with the Cloud IIs. I've considered installing a Mod Mic onto my DT-770s so that I could just use them for everything, but here's my problem: they're just not comfortable for long term usage for me. Once I start wearing them for a couple of hours or so, the headband starts to feel like it's just digging into the top of my head. I can stave off the discomfort if I shift around the angle of the headband on top of my head, but it's really not an ideal solution. Any thoughts on this? I've recently found this product which seems promising. It's annoying researching this problem online because it seems like most users who complain about the comfort of these headphones are fat chuds with football-shaped Arnold/Stewie-esque heads who complain about the clamping force being too tight, but it's never the case that someone complains about it being too loose.
On the case of earbuds, I always just used my old reliable Apple earbuds until I finally lost them. I now have a pair of PineBuds Pros that are very convenient, sound alright, and have ANC built into the stock firmware. I've been considering switching back to wired though as the battery life on the PineBuds slowly degrades bit-by-bit. They're probably beaming denpa EM waves into my head anyways. Any recommendations?

Using Sony MDR-7506 until they'll give out. Velour aftermarket pads are a must-have. Mount for a ModMic attached if I need to use one. Using some random wireless buds I got for free on the go.

Normally, I use Razer Kraken headphones. I've been using them for a while, and I can say they still hold up (even if they were a bit pricey).
When I go outside, I use the TOZO A1. I'm not the biggest fan of earbuds, but these fit nicely, and I can listen to my weeb music without anyone noticing.
I'm planning to get the NW-S202F, the same one that Door-kun and Neku Sakuraba use, and put nothing but 2000's music on it. If I see a zoomer calling me larper, I'm going to recreart a New Gen case.

Currently using Steelseries Arctis Nova 1 they sound alright and don't hurt even if i wear them all day. I've tried earbuds in the past but they hurt my ears.A good website for anyone wanting slightly better sound would be https://autoeq.app/ . It can help adjust the frequency response of headphones; useful if a pair is too bass/treble heavy.
Koss KSC75 or Audio-Technica ATH-EQ300M might be cool to look like Door-kunBlond wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2026 3:27 pm...I'm planning to get the NW-S202F, the same one that Door-kun and Neku Sakuraba use, and put nothing but 2000's music on it. Lol, I actually rock Panasonic RP-HZ47-A Clip Headphones so I can be like the Door Boy himself, but they're blue so I can have my own personal flare to them

Re: Headphone Thread
Sony wireless headphones, white, cheapest I could find on Amazon. I also use them 12 hours a day.

Re: Headphone Thread
I've been using a pair of Fiio FT1s for the past 2 months or so; for budget headphones they're quality pieces of soundware. I have them hooked up to a Fiio K11 amp/DAC but carry them out on the road too (though I've switched up my "on-the-road" headphones with the similarly good but cheaper Fiio JT1s, which I also use in bed while my FT1s sit at my desktop). Problem with a lot of closed-backs is the stage but I've found the stage here to be exceedingly good, even better than some open-backs.
Since I listen to metal, prog and electronic music a lot of the time, mids and bass are pretty important (especially with stuff like brutal death metal where there's a lot of low chugs and the vocals are also often in that place too), and it's pretty well suited to most of what I listen to; the highs are there but a little bit subdued compared to the bass and mids. Good stuff tbh.
If you're looking for something on a budget, either are good; the JT1s are like $60 and the FT1s hover around $150. I love my pair, I'm wearing my JT1s right now as I'm typing this in bed!

Re: Headphone Thread
For casual listening I use some earbuds I got off aliexpress a long time ago, KZ-EDX or something. They have excellent sound even though they're very cheap and have served me well. For SERIOUS BUSINESS I have a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M40x "professional studio monitor headphones". They're incredibly good, but regretfully the ear pads are showing their age and I'm not sure if they can be changed.
That said I do prefer using speakers at a moderate volume.
