I think two-of-a-kind in either order should count, plus there's already palindromes which are worth a bit more; leaving more up to chance makes it a bit more fun IMOMaypews wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2026 3:40 pmSo like my last roll of 2, 4, 4 would count as dubs, but Alix's wouldn't. But like 1, 1, 5 is still two dice with the same value on it. I'm not sure, what do you guys think? I was planning on it only counting if the last two dice were doubles to keep it as a fairly rare phenomenon but maybe that doesn't make much logical sense.

Zanzibar Land | Turn #2 | Bonus +1
WORLD NEWS NOW:
With elections currently under way, Outer Heaven mercenaries have made their final move into the Republic of Tajikistan, with their leader Big Boss personally CQC'ing the formerly incumbent President to death, resulting in a landslide political victory for the Zanzibar Land Party. He had this to say on his inaguration:
(Ignore the second roll. I can't delete it but I could turn it into 0d6, which is kinda funny.)

Rumours have been circulating that Big Boss has his eye on Sri Lanka as a secondary base of operations, and plans to move significant resources there in an effort to attract several of the world's top scientists. There has been no official statement as of yet, as Zanzibar is currently pooling its remaining resources into neighbouring Pakistan.
When uprooting nations, the necessary conditions of war cannot go unnoticed. We know what's coming, and we must forsake our countries and overturn borders in order to create a home that's ours. We want it to be known to the world that we are the deterrent for those who have none, and we will provide our services as the times demand them. We fight not for governments, nations or idelologies, but for ourselves. War has a price, and we're dedicated to meeting it.

Sorry I'm not roleplaying btw, I'm to bogged down mentally by work lately to cook up anything good myself, maybe on my day off if I don't sleep it away again

Lots of dubs in here, wow.
Agreed after some thought, I'll add 15 territories (the difference between the 5 roll and dubs) next turn on top of whatever Alix rolls this turn.dokyun wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2026 5:21 pmI think two-of-a-kind in either order should count, plus there's already palindromes which are worth a bit more; leaving more up to chance makes it a bit more fun IMOMaypews wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2026 3:40 pmSo like my last roll of 2, 4, 4 would count as dubs, but Alix's wouldn't. Turn 2 - S.F.R. of Yugoslavia (+1)
Now that we have pacified the Bosnian SR, it only makes sense to fully take back Maršala Tito's birthplace, Croatia, after which we'll focus or remaining armies into Slovenia and Montenegro.
On other news, integration of the retaken Bosnian territories has gone better than expected, and various polls indicate that the Maršala's current popularity has reached an astounding 96 percent. As for foreign relations, turns out that the telegram which was supposed to arrive to Hyperborean Russia has lost itself after some inner fighting in the party's Republica Sprska office, so we'll have to look to other countries in the meanwhile. More specifically the New Kingdom of East Memphis (ERASE THIS LATER: what are the Americans doing in Egypt? I don't remember anything special going on there regarding oil.), with which we'd like to start negotiations on the fate of the Turkish regions.

Re: RISK: Deloousional Edition
The 2nd Mongol Empire (+5) - Turn 3
Date: April 23rd
Location: The Winter Palace
City: Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
POV: "Altan"
I am but a humble servant to the man known as the Mad Baron. Born of low status and using naught but my wits, I was able to worm my way into a position in the government. Our government has a very strange function to it. Though the Bogd Khanate succeeded in throwing off the Russian yoke, our state is not actually ruled by the man known as Bogd Khan. It is a Russian, that of Baron Roman von Ungern, who rules the country in actuality.
He is a man of many eccentricities. Famous for a fiery temper, he defeated the Bolsheviks and Chinese by tactics that could only be described as eerie in resemblance to that of which Vlad the Impaler employed against the Ottomans. Brutality that no normal man would sink to, especially not in this modern era.
Everyone is careful not to get on his bad side. One false move and you've may very well set off the ticking timebomb. Yet the Baron's love for Mongolia and it's history is nothing but sincere. Despite his rough exterior, there aren't many records of dissidents being "disappeared" and this risk is especially diminished if you are apart of his circle.
Nonetheless his presence is overpowering and threatening, and he is known to act impulsively. You can imagine my fear then as I sit outside of the brand new Winter Palace with a letter in hand, awaiting my carriage to be authorised entry into the building. I have brought him the response from the Zanzibaris.
I already hard to work quite hard to defuse the tension that the Zanzibari diplomats I spoke to exhibited, as they seemed very displeased with the Baron's correspondence. Unfortunately, it seems my defusal attempts are likely to be in vain. I have a pretty good idea of what the reaction to this is going to be, and yet I must march onwards to the gallows with the letter in hand.
Finally the main gate opens, allowing my carriage to pass through. After a quick discussion with the guards, my identity is verified and I am allowed into the chambers. This palace is a new sight that dots the landscape of Ulanbataar. It's name comes from the building in Russia that shares the same name. The Baron was a staunch monarchist and supporter of the White Army during the Civil War, but despite his best efforts in the East the White Army ultimately collapsed. Though there now seems to be a new movement in the west of Russia known as the Hyperboreans, for now the Soviets still exercise control over the majority of Russia's land area.
The royal family was killed in it's entirety after the Soviet Union was established, which greatly angered von Ungern. In honour of the memory of the Romanov dynasty, this building was constructed and given the same name in large part for this reason. Though it is much smaller and not as luxurious as it's St Petersburg counterpart, it was built out of a very bizarre mixture of the Muscovite and Mongolian architectural styles. As such it does leave a very striking impression on all of those who see it, and we even have tourist guides that show civilians and foreigners alike around the building.
I make my way up to the door of the room from which the round table meeting among high-ranking officials is located, before then freezing in place. Taking a deep breath and steeling my resolve, I open the door and request immediate attention. One of the generals, a man known as Jebe, comes forth and takes the letter. His eyes go cold reading it. And then... the following scene plays out.
Following the conclusion of the mania that took place in the meeting room, the order to authorise a military invasion was confirmed. Some of the generals support it, others think it's a terrible idea. The only thing we can say for certainty is that once the Baron has his mind set on something, there's no stopping it. With the bulk of Mongol forces now entering into Tajikistan and then into Afghanistan, all that the normalfolk like me can do is pray that it goes well.

Zanzibar Land | Turn #3 | Bonus +2
The event which will go down in the books as the Zanzibar Incident has left much of the region in an unrecognizable state, with the majority of Outer Heaven soldiers retreating from their home base to maintain sovereignty of neighbouring Pakistan. The retaliation of the Mongols who stand deaf to reason in the face of diplomacy will now have to face the command of the man who's been coined "The Greatest Soldier of the 20th Century", with many on the world stage wondering if Baron von Ungern knows what he's capable of. Many are worried that the destruction of Outer Heaven has shifted the state's focus from idealism and entrepreneurial expansion to an awakening war machine that intends to set the world ablaze.
With the primary goal of keeping Pakistan under full control, the remaining soldiers have embarked on a special operation to gain control of the Mongol's main territory of Xinjiang, as well as Nepal and Kyrgyzstan if resources permit, whichever can be captured first. While the land is nice, what they really want is von Ungern. Alive.
Any spills will go to regaining lost territory in Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
You dun goofed.

Turn 3 - S.F.R. of Yugoslavia (+5)
"Well, the world is getting really chaotic once again. The Hyperboreans aren't answering our calls for diplomacy, and the same goes for the 'Egyptians'. And further east it's all bleeding thanks to more inter-imperialist wars. We are, uhhh, against partisanism. We believe in peace, and freedom for the Southern Slavs, and socialism. so we won't take any sides. Keep the squabbling to yourselves."
These were the words of Marshall Alix Broz after von Ungern's invasion of the Outer Heaven. In other news, further peacekeeping missions into Serbia, Kosovo and Macedonia have been launched, earning an assortment of reactions from various European countries, alongside previous US president Bill Clinton. However, it seems that the JNA will succesfully keep its advances into the remaining ex-Yugoslav countries going, with the government enjoying great popularity and endorsements from figures such as Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Žižek.
"Bill Clinton... Monika... why didn't we think of this before?"
"I uhhh touches nose don't think we should be doing this, you know, technology is like, you know, really complicated, creating minds like this, new technocyberian socialism is our dream model but this Japanese managerialist invention. it will just lead to, you know, the uhhh-"
EDIT: Pokrenite Operaciju Crveni Orao odmah.
We'll fix TIto's only mistake and put down the southern Hoxhaite-Clintonist dominion as soon as possible.
