Re: Fanart Thread
I saw this!! Really made me want to try to draw a "lineart on photo background" type illustration. May do so in the coming week(s).Maypews wrote: Fri May 08, 2026 3:57 amThis is probably some of my favourite fanart for not just SciADV but anything ever tbh.

Those secret messages
That spill into the air
From far away, so far away
A flowing river of illusion
Running with confusion
Never gone, it goes on and on.

Aidoru Kurisu!

This one is cute!

Poor Kurisu. I still love you!

Can I make a confession? I didn't really like the Occultic;Nine anime that much. It felt WAAAY too busy and cluttered, like there was way too much from the light novel they had to shove into an anime. But... how can I not love Ryouka's huge melons?

Re: Fanart Thread
lol, poor Kurisu... At least they seem to have buffed her in Re:Boot so maybe in new fanart she can maybe do it haha
I kind of like how frantic the anime is but yeah, it is clear that it should've been longer because by the end there was too much going on too quickly, there was no room for a breather. Some more time to really take in all the reveals, stew in them, and elaborate on them and make us care about everything going on would've been nice.Amlux wrote: Wed May 27, 2026 8:26 pm

But hey, if not for the anime O;N would probably be a lot more obscure and we wouldn't have gotten all that great fanart of her floating around, the kind we can't post on here, ya know? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Re: Fanart Thread
I do agree regarding the O;9 anime, though it at least has an ending unlike the other 2 versions of the story, albeit with many loose plot threads left open. I intend to try the light novels at some point, and I can see Parzival's point regarding the frantic pace being unique in a sense, but I do not think that this pace really compliments or suits the show personally. Unfortunately it seems the odds of the LNs ever being finished is rather low but I do intend to read them at some point, have heard they end on a shitty cliffhanger thoughAmlux wrote: Wed May 27, 2026 8:26 pm

I did like the group dynamic in the show (though this is seemingly a rite of passage for SciADV entries), and the mystery is fairly engrossing. But it is unfortunate that none of it is given any time to breathe, and I'm sure many details were skimmed over too. I recall thinking that the directing was fairly impressive though; if only it had gotten a 2nd cour.
