Can we agree that the scene where the bird saves Airi is like elite tier cringe? I can't believe that actually happened. I know the bird is a dogshit part of the game in general but this really was a bit much I think

Hiiiiii I just started phase 4 so ima write out some of my initial thoughts and also post some lines I found funny or endearing!!!

Obviously I just finished the characterbuilding SOL phase so there's not much to say about overall plot, but it seems like its going in an interesting direction. I'm enjoying the read so far! The art style and sprites were super offputting at first, almost like im being talked to by a bunch of shitty vtuber models lmao, but it's grown on me. I will say tho the inconsistency between the CGs and the 3d models is really jarring and I'm not a fan of that. Not really the biggest deal.

I enjoy the fighting game theme, as a fg player myself its charming. Only a little bit insulted that it felt the need to mansplain fg terms to me...

I think my favorite thing so far that really surprised me is the robot fights, having to do fast keyboard inputs to do the fight is epic!! This is actually my new favorite gimmick in sciadv and itd be cool if it was actually hard. IRUO on the other hand is the most vile and disgusting mechanic ive ever had the misfortune of interacting with in a visual novel id rather do the muramasa airship stealth puzzle 15 times guideless. That's alright tho because allegedly it doesn't unlock CGs which is all I care about to "100%", i dont always feel compelled to do extra content if there's no CG unlocks with it.

I guess I will just give my opinions on the characters so far:

Kaito: pretty chill guy ive seen people say he sucks but he doesnt seem so bad to me, i fw the fact that hes top page on that fighting game as a fellow top pager i feel like we got some camaraderie there. pretty good shit bro I also know some top page runescape players who accuse everyone else of cheating! He seems pretty reserved as a MC which I don't really mind, I dont have a lot else to say about him.

Subaru:

Akiho: She's cute and she's genki and she builds robots, I like her. Not my favorite but she's cool, she hasn't really done anything super exciting yet I'm sure I'll have more to say about her later.

Juuna: bathes in cow shit i can see why she got smoked off spawn in H/H.

Airi: cute af i love her she might end up being my favorite, unclear at the moment. Kaito actually has monk mental for not bringing her home with him, putting the IRUO on and gooning himself to death. I was spoiled a little bit on her backstory I believe I read she was in the hospital or something so ig shes like the ai embodiment of someone who died who was probably close to the dude who made her, but that will be explained later.

Frau: Yes i can see why shes the most popular lol. Really like her obviously as she has a lot of parallels with myself and with all the other stinky neets, thats /ourgirl/.

I think that's all I have to say for now, everyone just got kidnapped by Nae so I do believe im starting to close in on some actual plot points now, prob gonna read all day tomorrow too, the current goal is 100% before the H/H thread finishes, but if I don't meet that ill still just finish this one before going back to finish rewrite.
