The Thread of Haruhi Suzumiya (General)

Fresh off the completion of the anime here, while I haven't formulated any major thoughts worthy of a dedicated dump, I will say that I very much enjoyed the series.

Haruhi herself is a really fun character that works as a solid anchor for the entire show that the rest of the SOS Brigade bounces well out of.

The Brigadiers themselves are very enjoyable, personal ranking in descending order (not including Haruhi herself) is like

Nagato
Kyon
Koizumi
Asahina

As for the story and arcs, its something I'll have to work my true thoughts on across rewatches in the future but really overall it was both fun and pretty impactful, the moments where we get to see Haruhi let her usual cheer take a step aside were always nice to see, especially during the latter half of the show.

Another thing of note is Endless Eight, as I've said before it was a really really bold move and personally a fun experience. Though back when it was originally airing I would understand why people were so frustrated with it, but I feel like as we've shifted into (conceptually) more "accessible" models of work distribution. I feel it has definitely aged better, even if at the same time I do think some of its weight sue to said shifts.

Overall, I'd say the Haruhi anime stands as something I deeply resonate with. I love the Brigade Members, I love Haruhi herself, and I am delighted to stand as a newfound follower of Haruhiism. Long live Haruhi Suzumiya and the SOS Brigade!

Almost forgot to mention this but I think since Endless Eight I grew more partial to Super Driver and Tomare, while Bouken Desho Desho and Hare Hare Yukai remain iconic, I think Super Driver and Tomare have their merits.

Though to be honest, I think whichever are my favorites more depends on my mood than anything.
